Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and John Kerry (D-MA) introduced the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act this morning. Both the Green Construction Careers Demonstration Project and funding for the Green Jobs Act are in the draft legislation! Next step: join our National Briefing Call.

I have exciting news to share!

The first draft of the Senate's climate and clean energy bill includes strong climate standards, and the access and opportunity we fought so hard for!

Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and John Kerry (D-MA) introduced the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act this morning. Both the Green Construction Careers Demonstration Project and funding for the Green Jobs Act are in the draft legislation!

These provisions, which we also successfully fought to include in the House's clean energy bill, will ensure that low-income communities and communities of color can access good jobs and job training in the clean-energy economy.

To secure this victory, Green For All supporters and allies flooded key Senators with hundreds of phone calls, 20,000 emails, and a letter signed by more than 300 local, state, and national organizations.

Thank you for all of these efforts!

But it's not over yet. The bill must remain strong and pass through the Environment and Public Works Committee and the full Senate. We've got to be organized and persistent in order to keep our provisions in the bill.

Please stay in the fight with us.
