OAKLAND, CA – Green For All CEO Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins today issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s State of the Union address.

“The President’s commitment to bolstering the middle class and his emphasis on increasing American manufacturing is desperately needed. Our country can put Americans back to work now by investing in clean energy and the infrastructure that will power our economy for generations.

"Big Oil and their supporters are committed to propping up an industry from another era and derailing policies that are in the best interest of American workers and our economy. This is why Americans must speak up. Earlier today, Green For All released a “Plan To Keep America First,” encouraging people to contact their elected officials in support of forward-looking investments in clean energy and green infrastructure.

"Our recent report, Water Works, demonstrates that we can build our country’s water infrastructure, while putting nearly 1.9 million people to work. That’s just one area of possible investment. Every American has a vested interest in our country’s success. The President tonight articulated a path forward. We must do our part and demand policies that will put our country back on track.”
