Opportunities for Small Businesses with Training Modules

Posted by Green Irene at June 04. 2009

Green Irene is a green consulting firm with a national network of over 300 eco-consultants who have been trained to conduct Green Home and Green Office Makeovers. Our eco-consultants have gone through a rigorous online and phone training process that includes 12 modules that cover various topics related to sustainability. We specifically focus heavily on energy efficiency and conservation. We want our eco-consultants to tap into AARA funding and potentially use our training modules in partnerships with local and county governments. What opportunities are there for a business like Green Irene?

I know someone who would like to bring green collar jobs to the North East. Is there someone here in New England we can partner with?

Our organization has been offering asynchronous online training programs for almost 10 years. These are instructor led or mentored programs that can educate those seeking careers or enhancing their careers in the weatherization, building performance and HVAC industries. We have assessments, courses, programs, certificate programs, certification programs with nationally recognized certification organizations and an online HVAC apprenticeship program that is recognized by the Department of Labor. We are seeking to work with with local affiliates who want a program that is ready to be offered today. We have thousands of partners around the USA but are looking to grow and further develop our support of these efforts and know that we can be of service to many groups. Anyone who wants to talk with us please call me at 518-309-3415 or email me at [email protected] for more information and discussion about ways we could work together. We are interested in being a partner on grants as well and can offer a great deal of expertise in many areas.
