Green For All's Communities of Practice will hold its annual convening for the Retrofit America's Cities Working Group in Oakland later this week.

Leading practitioners in the green economy will come together to create and share models and best practices.

The convening sessions will include the following:

  • High Road Outcomes
  • Increasing Contractor Capacity
  • Diversifying the Contractor Base
  • Inclusive Finance for Efficiency Upgrades
  • Leveraging Community Assets to Generate Demand for Efficiency, and Workforce Development

This year's Working Group members manage an impressive list of programs that have already achieved a high level of success in generating widespread demand for energy efficiency, creating viable jobs in the green economy, and making energy efficiency available to homeowners in communities that suffer from disinvestment by the mainstream financial community.

The Working Group includes a strong presence from grantees of the Department of Energy's BetterBuildings Program, communities that will be models for the next phase of investments in the Green Economy.

Green For All looks forward to the convening and to collaborating with the Working Group members to further their own programs and advance the agenda for the Communities of Practice Program.
