EVENT: Green Infrastructure Business Academy in Philadelphia, 2/25

On Friday, February 25, the Capital Access Program will be hosting a Business Academy on Green Infrastructure in partnership with the University of Phoenix, Business United for Conservation Industry Partnership, and the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia. The event will provide architecture, engineering, and construction firms with the information, relationships, and resources they need to transform Philadelphia’s stormwater infrastructure from gray to green.

Green for All works nationally to create and implement programs that increase quality jobs and opportunities in green industry. On Friday, February 25, the Capital Access Program will be hosting a Business Academy on Green Infrastructure in partnership with the University of Phoenix, Business United for Conservation Industry Partnership, and the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia. The event will provide architecture, engineering, and construction firms with the information, relationships, and resources they need to transform Philadelphia’s stormwater infrastructure from gray to green.

Green stormwater management and infrastructure present the Philadelphia region with an opportunity to create more environmentally sound solutions to combined sewer overflow that will save money and create jobs. According to Business United for Conservation's 2010 report Capturing the Storm, Philadelphia has proposed to invest $1.6B over the next 20 years to address green stormwater infrastructure solutions.
