Position Title: Senior Web Associate
Reports To: Internet Director
Compensation: Full-time, Commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package.

Position Summary

Green For All is seeking an experienced web professional to join our Internet team. Successful candidates will have proven technical expertise and experience in supporting the web needs of a non-profit organization. They will be ready to hit the ground running, values driven, self-motivated, detail oriented, and resourceful.  They will also be able to work efficiently and with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability to shifting priorities, a keen sense of urgency, and a commitment to excellence.
 
This is NOT a telecommuting position.

Required Skills & Experience 



  • 3-5 years progressive experience in Web site design and development as well as managing content and/or production for high traffic websites. Ability to hand code in HTML and CSS

  • Drupal – Proven hands-on experience in building, maintaining and enhancing Drupal websites, including a working knowledge of themes and PHP/MySQL

  • CRM - Experience with Democracy in Action or other constituent relationship management systems such as Convio, Kintera, or Blue State Digital

  • Database Management - Experience with database management including developing dynamic database-driven websites

  • Javacript - Working knowledge of implementing, debugging and enhancing Javascript and AJAX frameworks
  • Graphic Design – Proficiency in producing graphics for the web using Adobe Photoshop and/or Fireworks

 

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of the Plone Content Management System
  • Proficiency in best practices for email marketing, online donations and advocacy systems preferred

  • Demonstrated understanding of emerging online trends and technologies; experience using "Web 2.0" style tools

  • Experience with online communities, social networking, social book-marking and viral web marketing campaigns
  • Proven management experience in day-to-day site administration or design, including getting results through vendors or contractors

  • Proven ability to work independently, and also to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team

  • Ability to quickly learn new software/hardware systems

  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects in a fast paced deadline-driven environment

  • Experience at a non-profit organization



Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Green for All's web properties; keep the trains running on time

  • Administrate 3rd party technology systems; manage vendor relationships; act as on site staff administrator to monitor and troubleshoot features that integrate with Salesforce.com

  • Manage requirements development, progress and delivery of short and long-term projects related to site maintenance, enhancements and new initiatives

  • Work with tech team, partners, third-party service providers, and vendors to maintain site standards and assure optimal performance of technology tools and website standards; Oversee freelancers, including writers, copy editors and community outreach organizers. Monitor and analyze site metrics, systems performance, and user activity

  • Act as on site troubleshooter for website, providing technical assistance to internal and external users

  • Develop and maintain knowledge management systems - Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference; Create and maintain systems documentation for information, training and scalability purposes
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and new online developments; suggest and adopt relevant best practices whenever applicable 

  • Leverage constructive and effective relationships inside and outside the organization. Work in partnership with others in a collaborative or advisory role

  • Provide technical management for online campaigns including site promotions, email newsletters, and online outreach campaigns

  • Coordinate with an integrated Communications team to implement effective web content in timely manner

  • Other duties as needed and assigned
