Tools for Action
On this page you will find resources to help you communicate effectively with the media, hold community events, and more.
Every day Green For All is approached by people who want to advocate for green jobs creation but don’t feel that they have the necessary skills or experience to do so. We believe everyone is capable of being an effective messenger when equipped with the right tools. On this page you will find resources that will help you:
- communicate with the media (writing press releases, holding press conferences, speaking to members of the press
- organize Solution Salons (educational community events)
- advocate for green collar jobs creation with elected representatives (coming soon!)
- organize a large, diverse, green event
If you find these resources to be helpful, please let us know!
Behind the Scenes of The Dream Reborn
Written shortly after The Dream Reborn Conference in Memphis, TN in April 2008, this publication is a useful resource for those putting together a green event that engages people of color and members of communities of modest means, integrates culture and spirit, and transcends the model of talk-at-you keynotes and plenaries, moving instead toward a more participant-centered event.
Host a Solutions Salon - A Green For All Guide
To build the green economy for all, we have to come together. This brief guide provides a framework for organizing a 2-3 hour event for 50-300 people from your community to talk about new solutions for building an inclusive green economy.
Media Toolkit
Unsure how to approach a reporter? No problem. Use this toolkit to help pitch and prepare for interviews and articles around climate change and green jobs.
