Van Jones, Danny Glover, and Rep. Barbara Lee pack Oakland Church

On Tuesday, November 11th, Van Jones, actor and activist Danny Glover, and Representative Barbara Lee (Oakland, 9th District) rocked a packed house at the First Congregational Church of Oakland.

Sponsored by Green For All and KPFA Radio 94.1 , the event honored Jones and his best selling first book: The Green Collar Economy: How One Solution Can Solve Our Two Biggest Problems.

The vibrant, passionate Oakland crowd spilled out of the door of the church.  Bay-area poet Aya de Leon opened the night, and Aimee Allison of KPFA hosted the evening.  Alice Walker and Bobby Seale were also in attendance.
