Steven Cornish

steven-cornish.jpgSteven Cornish is a senior at Morehouse College majoring in Economics. He is a native of Plainfield, New Jersey. He was former president of Students Endeavor For Enlightened Environmental Decision (SEEED). Steven had truly discovered his life passion in the green movement after joining SEEED in his freshman year and attending Power shift ’09. Since, he has become a member of Morehouse’s Sustainability Committee, member of Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, and a panelist for Keep It Wild: Post Copenhagen Forum. Also, he was given the chance to attend the 15th Conference of Parties (COP15), which consisted of 192 heads of state from around the world coming together to discuss how the world will fight global warming and move toward a more sustainable future. Here, he attended several workshops, lectures, expos, and build relationships with people who shared the same goal for a more sustainable future. Building on his previous experiences, Steven hopes to use his Green For All ambassadorship to spread and share his knowledge to his student body. He envisions a future where sustainability will be embraced by society from an economic, social, and national security standpoint.

Morehouse Ambassadors Anthony Gause and Steven Cornish worked on a two-fold campaign to engage the men of Morehouse in sustainability through two initiatives: a green ministry event and a campus-wide Earth Day event.
