New coordinated effort aimed at forcing Scott Pruitt, the embattled EPA administrator under multiple investigations, from office
Oakland, CA — Today, Green For All, Sierra Club, Hip Hop Caucus, Friends of the Earth, Green Latinos, Defend Our Future, League of Conservation of Voters, Environmental Defense Fund, Natural Resources Defense Council, and Center for American Progress Action issued a statement on the launch of Boot Pruitt: a coordinated effort to force the dirty dealing and unethical Scott Pruitt from his role as administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
“The time has come. With several investigations for serious ethical violations, more than $100,000 wasted on lavish travel, a year of reckless repeals of common sense health and environment protections, and presiding over a culture of corruption over science, Mr. Pruitt has unquestionably failed the American people, failed to uphold the EPA’s mission, and failed the standard of conduct required of a public official. We are standing together and standing up for the millions of children and families being exposed to deadly pollution by Scott Pruitt’s dangerous policies.
“Scott Pruitt is unfit for office. His dirty dealings have wasted too many taxpayer dollars and endangered public health for too long. He must go. The ‘Boot Pruitt’ campaign will focus the disapproval of Pruitt’s performance at EPA, highlight the real struggles of Americans living under Pruitt’s corrupt EPA, and enlist support for removing Pruitt from office before he can do more damage and hurt more Americans. It’s time to Boot Pruitt.”
