Between now and June, your Mayor and local officials must come up with a plan to secure and implement President Obama's Economic Recovery funds.Does your Mayor have a plan yet? Do you know what that plan is? This may be the most important opportunity you'll ever have to bring green-collar jobs to your community. But the planning process will be over in the blink of an eye, and your community could miss out. That's why we're calling on you to take action now: Ask your Mayor to sign a Commitment to a Green Recovery For All. Organize a rally or a press conference to drive your message home. The Recovery funds can build pathways out of poverty through green-collar job training and employment. But we cannot leave it up to our elected officials and the big developers who have their ear.
