Thanks to everyone who joined our National Water Action Day and helped to make it a huge success! Because of you, we were able to support 60 events in 23 states! Check out all the photos of the events on Flickr.
We want to take some time to reflect on the work that went into these events, and to celebrate our accomplishments… and most importantly, to talk about what's next!
Please join us for a conference call.
Thursday, August 8th at 1pm PST/4pm EST.
The call in number is (605) 477-2100, access code: 372396#
It was a beautiful rising sun, Saturday July 16th, 2011. The Going Green Living Bling brothas and sistas decided to join the national call to action of Green For All to mobilize on issues focused on Water Security and Food Justice in the hood with Green The Block.
"Calling all B-Boys, Emcees, Grafitti Artists, Tree Huggas and Deejays to head in mass on their low-rider bikes to City Park for the 25th Annual Colorado Black Arts Festival."
On July 16th 2011 The South West Organizing Project and Project Feed the Hood hosted a Community Voice Discussion/Green the Block event at The Source Wellness Center in Albuquerque New Mexico. The first event was to gather as a community and discuss issues in our communities and how we can collectively create positive solutions to address these issues. The second event was to celebrate Green the Block's National Day of Action.
