Green for All Statement on President’s “Climate Change” remarks

January 21, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following today’s inaugural speech marking the first time a President has noted that the answer to “climate change” is for the United States to lead the transition to “technology that will power new jobs,” Green for All CEO Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins issued the following response:

“The President’s remarks renew America’s commitment to energy independence. We now urge the White House to share with Congress a policy framework for powering 'new jobs and new industries' ahead of this year’s State of the Union address. We, at Green for All, will continue to show how both executive and legislative action on green energy will help rebuild the middle class, provide pathways out of poverty and save the planet from the perils of climate change.”
