Want to start your own business but need help navigating legal issues? Next week is your chance to get free advice from seasoned lawyers to help you launch your enterprise.
The East Bay Community Law Center will host a business clinic at their Berkeley office on Monday, July 16. Professional lawyers will provide comprehensive assistance to co-operative and environmentally-sustainable business owners, with a focus on entrepreneurs of color and low-income workers.
Each entrepreneur will receive a free 30-minute session with a lawyer to answer their questions about starting a business—including how to form an entity, limit liability, trademark a name, acquire insurance, hire employees, form contracts, and manage taxes.
Space is limited and will fill up soon. To apply and reserve your timeslot, or for more information, email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
