American Baptist Seminary of the West

Dr. Paul M. Martin was elected President of the American Baptist Seminary of the West, Berkeley, California on July 1, 2009. Dr. Martin had a distinguished career as Senior Pastor of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Denver, Colorado from August 1990 to March 2007. Upon his retirement from the Macedonia Baptist Church, he served as the Interim Pastor of the Zion Hill Baptist Church from May, 2007 until June, 2009. He has served on the faculty of colleges and seminaries as adjunct professor. He served as a Trustee of the American Baptist Seminary of the West for several terms. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University, Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology and the California Graduate School of Theology. He has done further studies at Claremont School of Theology, Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia and Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.

 Dr. Martin is married to Dr. Agnes Lott Martin and they together form a powerful team for the Lord’s ministry.
