Chris Kloss, Green Infrastructure Coordinator, Office of Water, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

Chris Kloss serves as Green Infrastructure Coordinator within EPA’s Office of Water. He is responsible for programs and activities assessing the potential for green infrastructure to be used in environmental protection and compliance programs. These activities include collaborating with federal, state, local and NGO partners to assess how green infrastructure can be used to create sustainable infrastructure and communities and providing outreach and technical support.

Prior to joining EPA, Mr. Kloss worked at the non-profit Low Impact Development where he was responsible for policy analysis and green infrastructure activities. He has a Masters degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a B.S. in Biological Resources Engineering from the University of Maryland.
