Learn more: Opportunity for All in the Climate and Energy Bill.

Senators Kerry, Lieberman, and Graham are introducing a new bill to bring bipartisan support to climate and energy legislation, which will be necessary to pass it through the Senate. The Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act, passed by the Environment and Public Works Committee last month, became partisan when Republicans boycotted the mark-up process for the bill.

These two bills will likely be merged later in the Senate's legislative process. The Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act includes key provisions to ensure that new clean-energy jobs are good and accessible to all.  Please help us make sure that the Kerry/Lieberman/Graham bill does too, by calling your Senator now.

Learn more about these provisions: the Green Construction Careers Demonstration Project and Funding for the Green Jobs Act.

The timeline is very tight. Reports from Capitol Hill tell us that the first draft of this new bill will be completed by early December, when international climate negotiations kick-off in Copenhagen.

Please call your Senator now.
