Dustin Jensen Adams joined the nonprofit Metropolitan Energy Center in 2004 to direct the Kansas City regional implementation of the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program. Most recently, Jensen managed the development of Project Living Proof – a demonstration home that showcases green, energy efficient, and healthy options for home remodeling and building. In December 2010, he assumed the management of a one-stop-shop program for consumer outreach and customer incentives under Energy Works KC – an ARRA funded initiative through the DOE Better Buildings program. Jensen holds degrees in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technologies, and Stationary Engineering. Jensen is now a regular lecturer in workforce training courses for building professionals who are seeking national certification or participation in local programs, and he is a testing proctor for the Building Performance Institute. He is also an adjunct professor with the Energy Performance and Resource Management program at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas.
