Asia Mosee

Asia-Mosee_Spelman-300x200.jpgAsia Mosee was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. Asia did not truly grasp the importance of environmental awareness and stewardship until the first month of her freshman year at Spelman College. Once she took her first environmental science course and learned about toxins that the environment and humans face, she realized the importance of spreading the word about environmental justice and stewardship. Asia volunteers at a nonprofit organization called the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA), where she hosts an internet-based radio show that informs college students about the injustices that low-income communities face. Asia has also served on Spelman’s Environmental Task Force, a campus organization where she helps plan events that pertain to sustainability. Upon graduation, Asia hopes to obtain her masters in Environmental Engineering. As she enters into her sophomore year of college she hopes to make a difference on her campus by informing people about the realities of environmental racism and injustice.
